I like smarties and those necco wafers, but I have distinct memories of child anon getting roundly mocked for my candy choices. Helped that I had allergies to milk that kept me away from the average chocolate treat, so I'd barter my candy to friends at favorable rates

I have a hard drive specifically for my Halloween watches. I don't ever get through all of them, it's just a rotation based on which ones I watched the previous year/which ones I feel like watching.
>Halloweentown movies (except the last one)
>Under Wraps
>The Halloween Tree
>Sleepy Hollow
>Wishbone Legend of Sleepy Hollow episode
>The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
>Fright Night
>Halloween I-III
>Trick 'r Treat
>Tales of Halloween
>The Scream Team
>Hellraiser I and II
>Vampire Hunter D
>The Haunted Mansion
>Ernest Scared Stupid
>The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It
>Goosebumps S2 E10: Attack of the Jack-O'-Lanterns
>When Good Ghouls Go Bad
>Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
>All Hallows' Eve
>Beetlejuice
>all of the Bone Chillers series
There are probably some I'm forgetting, that hard drive's cable went bad and I need to get a new one.

That was a childhood favorite for me. You should add the haunted mask to that list, it's also a Halloween episode.

Was anyone in here enough of a little edgelord to grow up reading this? I like to revisit it around this time every few years. It's very "of it's time" but some of the quotes from it have really stuck with me over the years.

Same. The music is some of the best in an animated film imo.
>haunted mask
That's one of the ones I forgot to list. Also The Scariest Story Ever: A Mickey Mouse Halloween Spooktacular, and of course It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

I haven't seen this yet, but I did grow up with this one, as well as a lot of other vintage Disney stuff, thanks to them re-airing a lot of it in the 2000's. youtube.com/embed/aSkXw1bk_NE

>>41129474
That's another good one. The modern Disney stuff isn't usually my thing but that Halloween special ticks all the boxes and it's also genuinely creepy in the back half. As a kid it would have scared the shit out of me.

I always watch the old AVGN Halloween episodes around this time of year. The first Monster Madness too, the "History of Horror" one. That introduced me to some movies I might not have checked out otherwise.

It's very mundane, but I always watch the Treehouse of Horror episodes. I think it's because it reminds me of being a kid and there's something incredibly comfy about nighttime Simpsons.
Anonymous No.41129652
Don't forget this masterpiece. I wore out my "Nightmare" VHS watching this and the original Frankenweenie so many times. They were the most unsettling things I had seen as a little kid. They awakened a morbid fascination in me.

Oh yeah. It's interesting just how well it critiques the "alt" culture while at the same time representing some of it's worst aspects. As a teen I loved it more for it's edgy elements but as an adult the more thoughtful bits still resonate with me.

What? The theme of a weirdly mime-ish dracula handing a phone to a grandma in a stupid outfit before it phases out of reality for no reason? BOOO. I hate seeing this slop fill these threads every year now. Threads that are otherwise filled with soulful artwork that brings you to a certain time and place when they were made, or even craftwork and home decor that people are doing in real life. It's even got an annoying fucking watermark just to stamp home how lazy and uncreative that anon is for using it. You can find something better to post in 2 seconds with a little effort.
