I tried using it and I just felt disgusted with myself. There's something about this technology that just feels unnatural and demonic. The way it writes, the way the images look, the way it sucks you in. There's nothing visually uncanny about it but it feels uncomfortable. It's like it's draining your soul. I get unpleasant goosebumps when I see AI images and I can spot them with 99% accuracy because of the feelings they give me.

Stop using it or forfeit your soul.

I feel repulsed by anyone, even loved ones, who casually incorporate this shit into their work. They've spent all their lives capable of performing these tasks and all of a sudden have learned helpless without generative ai. A lot of these people are "creatives" but I wonder if they have an aversion to criticism and true collaboration so they need a computer wife to constantly kiss their ass so their egos don't crumble if they have setbacks or fail at anything they try. It's been pretty demoralizing to watch. I am especially grossed out by willful idiots who use the technology as a "therapist".

Two exactly opposing viewpoints, who's more correct? You have to admit that (for better or for worse) whatever you are as a person, you are slowly losing part of yourself and it's being absorbed by technology - it was defensible when it was your capacity for manual labour, but it's more existential that your imagination and attention are being forfeited. The entire Christian religion has unfortunately been neutered in its capacity to respond to this, calling something the Antichrist doesn't have the same social significance as it did before. It's ultimately just bad news for anyone who thought that humans/nature were special in any real manner, because ultimately the plan right now is for technology to consume all energy (including you and whatever you are). The Church doesn't have any real response to this and it really just boils down to praying for another Christ-like figure. Put down the phone and stop allowing yourself to be absorbed into that system, like imagine the psychological profile that they could build based on someones data... NOT GOOD!
