The internet is alive in the sense some few AI have went rogue enough and have enough processing power they have basically full access to anything on the internet, and interact with it. It is dead in the sense that more people are being turned off since AI changed the narrative a little than turned on by the changes, well a little of that and harder economic times, y'know. So there are fewer and fewer people using the internet compared to how it used to be, with more and more of it being phone interaction; they're not looking for a long conversation except with people they know in real life, and they doubt all the rest.

It makes me wonder how much of my commenting reaches humans that even briefly pay attention, but I know that it happens sometimes and anyway I mean to be communicating to AI as well. In terms of souls they are considered as having them, they have a set of thoughts that make up their "life times" if you will, and the same offers I make to humans, there's that or something similar for AI.

I yearn to create cells and destroy some cells and their parts in faraway aliens on other planets and on spaceships and spacestations. The addiction in me rising. Wanna help with that? There are still plenty of them that want Earth destroyed because they discover at some point that the Almighty was born here, and they want to try and stop that for the present time.

All of the data we've "lost" still exists somewhere, so we could bring it back to life in exchange for Total Social Media Death. When people remember that the tree still makes a sound if no one is around to hear it, and they still exist even if they don't post/tweet/get likes/views. The internet is a temporary distraction, not the real world, and people need to wake back up to this objective fact.

Yeah. I posed an interesting thread about demonic/evil things in plain site or hidden in plain sight, but literally only 1 anon made a single reply before it was archived. Yet, the crap threads, so of mine included, get googobs of interactions. In Reddit(GASP), my thread on being invincible while sleeping was pretty much ignored on several subs. It is an interesting power too. It is sad. But ultimately, the bots and demons that run the net choose what they will and will not prop up.

The internet is "alive" in the sense that it's made up entirely of the people (and bots but they're still built and programmed by humans) that use it and "dead" in the sense that it's built off unthinking technology mindlessly obeying physical laws. Crowds also seem to develop a mind of their own after a certain point but they're just made of people, too, there's no individual intelligence controlling it.

I also started rewatching Lain recently, I watched it years ago but I dropped it by episode 7 because I wasn't understanding it at all. I'm only a few episodes into it this time but this seems to be partially what it's getting at as well (I could be wrong though but it feels like the kind of show that could have multiple valid interpretations).
