>how can this be explained?
by the fact that the earth does not orbit the sun in a perfect circle.

What flat earth cannot account for is that the rate of motion of the sun (and moon) across the sky does not change. How can this be if they were getting much closer to you as noon approaches, and then far away again in the afternoon? There is no change in its apparent size apart from a tiny measurable compression in one dimension only right as it reaches the horizon.

Go back to 9th grade science and pay attention when they teach about the precession of Earth.

That pattern in the sky in your pic is from the earth β€œwobbling” on its axis since it’s tilted.

For our next class, we’ll be covering the Great Year and the transition from the age of Pisces to the age of Aquarius

We’ll also cover which is the same thing as the great year.

precession is different from the fact that the earths axis tilted and that this causes one hemisphere to lean towards the sun6 months after the other one does so.

Ok so if one side leans for 6 months, and then the other side leans for 6 months and it orbits the sun…..if a rod ran thru the poles and drew on the sky, what shape would it make?

Right, it stays with the sun.

You could also bring up that the constellations in our sky haven’t changed for thousands of years.

But we’re talking about the wobble of earth as it rotates the sun and draws the figure 8 pattern as you map out the suns zenith.

>Analemma proves flat earth
It doesn't but it also doesn't prove that we are in orbit around the Sun. The same pattern would occur if the Sun had an elliptical orbit around the Earth instead.
The analemma does prove that we live on a sphere though.
No matter where or when you decide to capture it the shape and size of the analemma stays constant. The only thing that changes is the orientation and the way it does so could only work on a sphere and if you disagree with me then go ahead and show me how the middle right image in OP's picture could occur in the flat earth model.

Flat-earth theory is only for actually intelligent people, and that is not more than 1% of the population. It won't be a thing for the masses because they're mentally just not able to get over their globe-indoctrination.
When people manage to break this brainwashing they start to see, suddenly it becomes so obvious what a BS the spaceball is, but for the ones who can't see it's basically impossible to understand flat-earth theory. There's not much we can do.

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

The biggest proof of the flat earth is that the sun doesn't set in the west, it sets in the north-west. If you actually watch the sunset it curves slightly towards the north as it sets, and if we follow it around, it continues to do this until it eventually rises in the north-east. A round earth model would have the sun go in a perfect straight line. Yes, even if the earth was "tilted", it would still form a perfectly straight path upon rotation, yet that is NOT what we see. There are literally constant succubus/tarot reading threads on here yet I don't see people seething about how stupid it is to believe such things. Why does flat earth specifically evoke such need to debate from non believers? I see so many dumb threads yet I rarely feel the need to join one just to call them out. I think I realised what flat Earth is all about. It's all projection: flat earthers always say that if Earth was round it would prove that God didn't exist, but the fact that round Earth has been a mainstream Christian view for centuries disproves that. In fact, I don't know if any educated Christian has ever believed the Earth is flat. Illiterate peasants in the dark ages, sure, but not the clergy. The Bible itself is silent on the subject, because it's not relevant to belief in God.

That the modern flat Earth movement is heavily tied to modern evangelical Christianity is undeniable. If Earth is round, you're free to either believe in God (or the gods if you prefer) or to be an atheist, because both explanations are plausible at this point. Earth doesn't have to be visibly and obviously "special" to be a result of divine intervention. In my view the most rational position to take is agnosticism, but that's beside the point.

If Earth is flat, however, it would prove beyond a doubt that Earth is special and almost certainly created, because all the other celestial bodies we can see are round. Ultimately, they hate round Earth because it gives people freedom of choice, and they'd rather just have everyone believe exactly the same things they do because thinking is hard.

They hate NASA (their schizo image of NASA, anyway) for "lying" about the shape of the Earth because deep down they wish they could do that, they wish they could run a powerful government agency that exists entirely to promote the "official" shape of the Earth and silence all dissent to force a certain view of reality.

I don't think flat earthers should be silenced, either, because I believe in free speech and alternative ideas to orthodox scientific belief is ultimately how scientific knowledge increases in the first place. That said, they're still wrong. I gave flat Earth the benefit of the doubt and investigated it once, but all available evidence seems to overwhelmingly point to a round Earth.

Don't think I'm saying that NASA is above deceptively editing photos to prove a political point, either. The previous post's photo is an updated "blue marble" taken 50 years after the original image, and this photo taken with an entirely different type of camera from a different angle and distance from the Earth edited in a different way supposedly shows unquestionable evidence of climate change. NASA hasn't said this themselves (I can't find any evidence of them doing so anyway), but this is definitely how mainstream news sites have reported this. Climate change is a real thing but its effects and supposed impact on the future have been deliberately exaggerated for political reasons. I've lost count of the number of times we've been at the "tipping point" for climate change and the only way we can "save the Earth" is to buy billions of dollars of green technology from China.

the path of light changes when is enters a medium of differing density. when the density is higher its path is altered towards the normal, that is, towards the angle of incidence. So, light reflected from a tall building so that it then travel down and towards an observer stood on the ground, is traveling through increasingly dense air (from higher up to lower down), which causes its path to trend slightly lower than it otherwise would if it was in vacuum, for example, where its path would stay straight all along its path.

Let's say you start somewhere in west Africa along the equator. You start by sailing directly west and keep moving straight without turning left or right.
On a globe, you would keep moving west and eventually make landfall in northern Bazil.
On a flat earth, you would have to constantly keep turning right if you want to keep your western course and stay along the equator. If you sail in a straight line, you would keep turning south and make landfall somewhere in southern South America.

Yes it does. The stressball example explains it perfectly. Tidal forces work by pulling on the earth and stretching it. Pull from both sides and it'll stretch more. Pull with a right angle and they'll cancel out. Think of a resize tool in an image editor. The image will be wider resizing it from both left and right than only resizing it the same amount from right, and the aspect ratio is maintained if you resize the same amount up and right

>can you provide a map of the global iron deposit layout
Not exactly my area of expertise, but from what I understand it's just the core that creates the magnetic field. It's made of liquid metals constantly spinning and full of imperfections which leads to the uneven magnetic field. Iron deposits don't have a significant effect on it.
>two southpoles
Not how magnets work. They only have one of each pole. Can you provide evidence of an undiscovered type of magnet that has multiple of the same type of pole? If not, the earth matches our observations of a regular magnet, so that's what it is.
>blows
Except it's not like blowing. Gravity pulls. When you pull on something in opposite directions, it stretches more than it would pulling in just one direction. Got an A by the way.
>Astrologers
Ah I see you're just retarded then. Sorry to hear that.
>If we live in a sandbox created by God
That if is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Do you have any amount of actual evidence for that? If not, I'll just go with the model that does.
>However globe science cannot explain selenelion eclipses.
It's literally just refraction. The sun and moon are below the horizon, but the light from them is bent in such a way that they're still visible.

I want to see what that looks like.

>How can you type that and still take yourself seriously?
God created the heavens and the earth. This has been believed by the wise men of society for thousands of years.
>Two south poles:
The magnetic declination maps require there to be two south poles in order for the globe mapping to work.

>Do you have any amount of actual evidence for that?
There is an enormous amount of proof of God for those who seek God. Astrology is actually a great proof. Why did so many ancient cultures make sacrifices to the planets?

>It's literally just refraction.
This is your fall back on everything. Yet I don't see any calculations proving it.
And this pic >>41296643 ... debunks the refraction claim that is used to hand-wave away the lack of curvature.

>God created the heavens and the earth.
We have a good understanding of how the universe, stars and planets formed now, so there's no reason to believe in millennia old fairytales anymore. They were useful to prevent people having existential crises because they didn't understand how they came to be, but now that we do understand, they're worthless.
>The magnetic declination maps require there to be two south poles
I looked it up quickly and didn't find anything referring to that. Do you have a source or something I can read to understand this?
>There is an enormous amount of proof of God for those who seek God
Uh huh. Sure thing.
>Astrology is actually a great proof.
Kek. Astrology is just schizos recognizing patterns that aren't there. Now that we know what planets are, we realize that there's no way they could affect us in any way besides tiny differences in gravity.
>Why did so many ancient cultures make sacrifices to the planets?
Because they were barbaric retards looking for any chance to burn someone on a cross or rip their heart out and flow their blood down a pyramid. Why do you think people whose most advanced technology were wheels were smarter than us now?>Yet I don't see any calculations proving it.
https://walter.bislins.ch/bloge/index.asp?page=Advanced+Earth+Curvature+Calculator
>The black banding should disappear
And it technically has. Physically it's behind the curve of the earth, but the light from it bends to reach your eyes. Notice how it's actually getting slightly lower? That's because refraction has a limit to how far it can bend light.

That's not how tides work. There's also a second bulge on the opposite side because the moon (or sun) is pulling the ground below the oceans more than the oceans themselves. When you understand this, spring tides and neap tides make perfect sense.

Also, I noticed you forgot to reply to my lake point here >>41296527. Why? Did you perhaps realize that it would show tides in lakes and disprove your explanation for them? It should be trivial to walk to the lake at low tide, set up some measuring stick and go back to check on it at high tide or vice versa. Maybe you could even do it during spring tides so the effect will be more noticable. Although you'd need to use the globe model to predict when spring tides happen because there's STILL NO WORKING FLAT EARTH MODEL KEK
