Jesus Loves You
This is worth a reminder. Jesus loves you, with an immense love. He celebrates all your triumphs and shares in all your defeats. Every day, in the smallest things, He is there, helping you and cheering you on. Every little good thing that you do, He rejoices and applauds with a love that you would even cringe at, if it were visible. If you could see Him then, you would see Him as like the teams of parents and friends of a child contestant in a game show, with pompoms and heart signs and a t-shirt with your face on it saying "Go, Anon!".
This is a fitting illustration for the love and enthusiasm He feels when you practice even the smallest good, in your acts or in your thoughts.
If you feel inadequate, if you despair of your own self, if you feel yourself crumbling under the weight of your own faults, that is a sure sign that you are not trying to please Him, but that you are trying to please the World. This is a pointless endeavour, as the World is but a writhing brood of vipers, intent on devouring all you give it and ever expecting more, and more, and more, for its hunger is insatiable for the slavery and destruction of the hearts of the children of God.
Turn instead to the love of the one who made you, the one who truly understands your faults and struggles and who will always forgive you, the one who truly knows all your hidden triumphs and who will always cherish and celebrate them, and never despair again, for His Love is perfect and He will stop at nothing to ensure your salvation, that you may be finally reunited with him in Heaven, and by his infinite grace and divine mercy, have peace and life eternal.
