>gold is hell’a /X/
Gold originated in space long before Earth existed. It was created during violent cosmic events like supernova explosions and neutron star collisions, which forged heavy elements and scattered them across the universe.

This gold became part of the dust and rock that formed our solar system. When Earth took shape, most of the gold sank into its core, but some remained in the crust. Over millions of years, volcanic activity, hot fluids, and erosion concentrated that gold into veins in rocks and placer deposits in riverbeds — where humans eventually found and mined it.

Gold is born in stars, delivered to Earth by cosmic debris, and concentrated in the ground by geological processes.

did you know there's glycine in space?
https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/news/2020/11/glycine-in-space-produced-by-dark-chemistry
it tastes sweet and prolongs the life of mice.
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6516426/
also it reduces negative symptoms of schizophrenia

I think glycine is the true gold of space.

Pretty much is. There is a whole protoplanet of shattered fragments out there in the Belt. Imagine the things we could to with this ... further, imagine the true Human spirit discovering this opportunity for good. :)

actually ... thinking about it ... we're really not too far away from doing that. the two enabling key-technologies are rocketry and drones / robotics.
I mean what more do we need other then re-entry tech, a space-barge, patience and a shit ton of money for initial investment?
