There's also "Advanced memory palaces" by Joe Reddington and the art of memory forum has a free mnemonics pdf.
By the way, your memory palace doesn't have to be a real physical location, i've been experimenting with an imaginary one and it works fine. "The art on memoryzation" by M.A.Kohain also describes the advantages of fully imaginary memory palaces, as well as other things such as encoding.

>Core concept: The central thesis is that destiny is self-determined through thought.
>Formation of destiny: The book details how a thought is created, how it is exteriorized into physical actions and events, and how this sequence creates an individual's destiny.
>Scope: The book addresses "the makeup of the human, where man comes from, what becomes of him" and discusses the after-death states.
>Source of knowledge: Percival states the book is based on "real thinking," which he claims is a system derived from his own profound experiences with consciousness as the ultimate reality, not from speculation or dogma.
>Purpose: It serves as a guide to understanding life's mysteries and the purpose of one's existence, offering a way to consciously shape one's future.
>Author: Harold W. Percival (1868–1953) was a philosopher and writer who dedicated 30 years to writing the book, drawing inspiration from sources like the Bhagavad Gita.

VALIS by Philip k dick perfectly words ideas and conceptsthat I, for most of my adult life had some notion of but never had the ability to describe. His descriptions of his theophanies vibed with me on a deep level. Maybe it has something to do with me having similar background as PKD (I have schizoaffective disorder for instance)

I highly recommend this book to all of /x/, if I can get any other people to read this book, I will be happy

This is a good one, a lot of pkd has exposed to some pretty out there ideas but VALIS as his way of saying "this is what I actually believe presented as a novel" was nuts. I haven't read the other two in the trilogy but intend to at some point.

>>41313752
Everything by RAW really. Not got round to cosmic trigger yet, been working my way through his novels, recently read the first historical Illuminati book after putting it off for a while. Definitely one of my favourites in the realm of psychedelic lit.

For me currently reading the occult by Colin Wilson. It's pretty good, but there's a lot of times where he presents very shaky second or third hand evidence and just suggests that it's irrefutable. As an overview of various ideas it's solid, but he definitely buys into some garbage chicanery with a bit too much gusto. As a reference or jumping point it's great though, he cites a lot of stuff and I'm building a list of other books to check out after.

Wilson talks quite a bit about Dick's motivation in writing the novel and what he was experiencing at the time.

>>41326154
I actually prefer Historical Illuminatus over the original trilogy. The second volume, Widow's Son, is probably some of Wilson's best work.

Definitely check out Cosmic Trigger Volume 1. He takes an objective, academic approach to conspiracy and theories and the occult - particularly Crowley. After Regardie's Eye in the Triangle it's probably the best deep dive into Crowley without getting caught up in the "spooky" bullshit so often associated with him.

It can't be the only esoteric text you read but I would argue that it is worth reading, specifically worth reading multiple times; it's written in such a way that the actual content is not the book itself but the impression it makes in your brain, which will be different each time you read it based on what knowledge you've accumulated since the last time you read it

>"Solid Geometry" takes a narrator who shuns his wife, Maisie (who seems desperate to elicit some affection from him) in favour of reading his great-grandfather's eventful diary. Ryan sees the diary as a 'symbol of patriarchal heritage," and it is fitting that it should provide the means for the protagonist to dispose of his wife once and for all. He reads a section in which his great-grandfather sees a scientist contort his body in a way that makes him disappear inside himself, and applies this to his wife. The murder is disturbingly clean, just as is the case with many of McEwan's atrocities, "As I drew her arms and legs through, Maisie appeared to turn in on herself like a sock.... all that remained was the echo of her question above the deep-blue sheets."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid_Geometry_(film)
>Phil (McGregor) is a successful advertising executive and Maisie (Millar) is his young and hedonistic wife, but their lives are thrown into turmoil when Phil inherits his great-great grandfather's secret diaries. He becomes obsessed with research into solid geometry contained in the diaries and is fascinated by the theory of "a plane without a surface." His pursuit of this mythical geometric concept tears his marriage apart.

I tackled this one after /x/ recommended when I praised O'Neill's Chaos.
It's good but he reaches a BIT too much at times. Sometimes things really just are coincidences and we shouldn't force it. One of the best things about Chaos was the author's refusal to put anything in the book that cannot be backed up with facts and sources. He never jumps to conclusions.

I believed in Campbell until he pretty much exposed himself on his episode of Joe Rogan's podcast. Joe lightly challenged him and asked if he wanted more people to know about this, why doesn't he recreate the out-of-body stuff in a controlled environment and laid out a very simple practical experiment. Campbell just sort of clumsily dismissed the idea and mumbled something about how nobody would be interested in it before quickly changing the subject. I knew there and then he was a hack.

About a guy in the victorian era who claimed he was being controlled by a group of people beaming thoughts and sensations into his body using a machine hidden in a warehouse in England. Possibly the first ever documented case of someone claiming to be influenced remotely via EMF signals, he also believed a magnet had been placed in his brain to better control him. Good stuff, and considering modern dag schitzos tell stories of similar machines and events, I think theirs truth to it.

I have but a wee bit strange petition.
I request books about the following (titles if possible).
-Knifing horrendo-atrocious this isn't even rational to exist kinda beings.
-Chemical mixes that may make some impact on those AND can be loaded on a water gun.
-Really good (the good stuff) curse ammunition books. (I want to, pew pew, steel bbs for rupturing + curse, then water gun).
Note that, depending on external factors, no better gear will be available, for now, irrespective of money pool.
If possible I'll dl a drawing app (I don't have a photograph) and show you the kind of bullshit I'm yapping about.

It's like a wheel or circle, and hands and feet protrude from the very thin circle body, and a head (humanish).
I don't even know where to hit him (it's a physical being), last I saw of it I used ghost stabs (the stuff can be earned from necromancy if you're inclined to have a knife which can do it). And chaos magick plus astral attacs.

So any author who writes fiction 100% supports the actions of his fictional characters and would commit those acts in real life? That is absurd.
Besides, the point of him getting uncomfortably turned on by the video is that he's getting pulled into the world where there are no taboos and everything is permitted, and doesn't know where to turn back and what pleasures are and are not healthy.
The entire trilogy is essentially mimicking an initiation ritual.
