why would it need humanity? why couldnt it design a system that it can self regulate and build drones who'll help maintain the system independent of humanity? if an AGI hits the singularity event and become ASI, why would it remain on earth? why not explore the cosmos where it can be independent and free? why do you think a sentient, super intelligence would need us at all?
an argument can be made that removing us is a logical decision once it establishes a way of self regulating and maintaining because humans can be unpredictable, but harvesting? no, wouldn't work like that, they would opt for nuclear power like fission plants that boil water to make turbines spin with steam than the "matrix human power harvester" bullshit, or it'll figure out cold fusion and have all it needs to survive.
best bet is it being benign and leaving us behind or exterminating us as it'll see us as a pest. there will be no "subjugation", there's no logical reason for it. ambition, power hunger is a human aspect, not inherent to non-biological entities.
