spiritual implications of being put on SSRIs
spiritual implications of being put on SSRIs, i just got put on them

I’m very much of the mentality that they aren’t forever. If you’re really struggling and it’s the difference between life and death, especially because of how difficult and stressful life can be these days, take them and put extra care into your worship, prayer, meditation, etc. It will definitely put you back on the right path that eventually you can get off of them and live your life. Spiritually speaking, I do believe they hinder the mind from its full potential, but hindrance doesn’t mean the potential is gone forever. Take care anon

the schizo tweakers will tell you that make you a sleeper cell.
Try em out. If you dont like it you can stop without any permanent effects.
They work real well for a lot of people

You can be spiritual on SSRIs

In fact if they help regulate you or help you feel better it may help your spirituality.

I just stopped taking my Zoloft, I feel fine. If you are really fucked up and want to die or whatever, they will help alot. If its only antidepressants whats the harm.

Im also still on a mood stabilizer that keeps me from wanting to rip people a new asshole. I have the mentality that I am too powerful to be alive without bumping myself down a notch, kek.

my advice is stop taking them. you need a healthy diet and exercise, not SSRIs. doctors are are, at best, incompetent retards, at worst, deranged cultist pill pushers. ive taken SSRIs for depression, didnt help ultimately. Then my dick stopped working properly for a while and months after I stopped taking it. Prozac is the worst SSRI on the market, its absolute dogshit, Ive tried many different SSRIs, prozac is the worst one imo, just plain ineffective. I think SSRIs should only be used in cases of extreme mental anguish to mitigate trauma, and should only be used for one or two months max. Any other reason, like mild depression, low mood, is not a justifiable reason to take SSRIs. The one I was using was citalopram, it makes you feel "high" and makes you stop ‘feeling’. It is best to just develop emotional strength within, in fact its the only way, the notion that you can fix your emotional state with a chemical is a scam, you must learn to control your energy from within, consciously. This requires deep focus in a relaxed state (what is known as prayer or meditation), inward focused on your solar plexus, which is the centre of your energy field, that must be purified with the Holy Spirit.

Prozac is great. It does numb you a bit, but without it I'd be an over-emotional wreck. I feel mentally stronger with it. Happier, less anxious. Does kill the sex drive though but I'm doing SR so it helps.

I agree about SSRIs, they've been given out like candy because they are cheap. There are other medical options however. Some that don't even involve a pill.

You do not want or need to be on that. It will not help you. It is going to hurt you and your doctor is either ontologically evil or a contemptible fool with absolutely zero in-between.

Speaking from experience, SSRIs simply make you more able to bear a shitty life, they do nothing to fix the shittiness

They also prevent you from using psychedelics - these help you see your shitty life in a different light and might help you find solutions

I cold-turkey stopped Prozac after 10 years (to try psychedelics) and the zombifying side effects of stopping were insane

The government and apparatus would rather you be on something that flattens your edges and screws up your metabolism than worry about what you might do in your darkest moments. That is their position. You need to decide what works for you and pursue that regardless of even the best intentioned suggestions.

What mood stabilizer are you on? I have a similar mentality and also want to rip people a new asshole. Also, I'm inclined to think that I may have some form of epilepsy and a lot of mood stabilizers function as antiepileptics

Was on them for about a year, realized I had bad untreated ocd. Be careful with them cause they can make you feel "too good" sometimes, but I was paralyzed by my thoughts before I got on them and afraid of just about everything.

you dun fucked up. stop taking it asap. never take SSRI/SNRI class drugs

aside from the mental lobotomy. these drugs can unironically give you lifelong erectile dysfunction even after you take them.

>what are brainzaps?
Imagine snapping your fingers and for a second or two, your brain has an instant migraine pain like "zap." It could feel like your whole head at once, or it travels from temple to temple.
Now imagine you never snapped your fingers at all, and your brain randomly does this while on ssri's/series.

Source: started with Lexapro, moved on to adding buspirone, then transitioned to only desvenlafaxine. It doesnt help at all when youre natural prone to migraines beforehand anyways.

>Speaking from experience, SSRIs simply make you more able to bear a shitty life, they do nothing to fix the shittiness

This, OP. Im tapering off my desvenlafaxine at the moment, as another anon said it just helps you perceive everyone and every event as less annoying.

>They also prevent you from using psychedelics - these help you see your shitty life in a different light and might help you find solutions

Once I was finally off Lexapro and buspirone, and had time in-between ending those and starting desvenlafaxine, had my first mushroom trip (2-3g). I do plan on trying microdosing crushed shrooms (.75g)in capsules. Life looked more beautiful in the days after stopping them, so I look forward to seeing how microdosing can help.

If other anons have microdosing advice, I'd like to know. Not sure if the schedule should be daily or like a few days on and a few off kinda thing.
