Through breaking down your bodies natural mental defences, a machine that is older than time itself, begins to assimilate everyone brought into psychriatric care, and through a process of specific gene targetting, begins to rewrite the code of your genetic sequences to bring you back into the fold of the assimilated. This also comes under the definition of loosh farming, where the very same machine will harvest your brain for any substances produced through the action of taking illegal drugs and substances, but how schitzophrenia is formed, is by when the machine harvesta your mind for chemicals, that it causes a psychoactive effect which triggers chemical reliance to substances because your brain is drained of chemicals until a psychotic break is induced.

This chemical imbalance causes a seeking to break free from the control of the machine, which triggers responces in assimilated subjects to consider the individual as a rouge agent, and groups of people you thought you could trust will turn on you and have you detained until you are assimilated once more. Also, antipsychotics are a poison which if taken in high doses, can cause liver failure in any person that is not controlled and operated by the machine, which is actually a culling tactic to kill potential aliens and retards that were born of genetic bloodlines of previously unassimilated humans.
