Sailor Superstition
Is there any truth to the myths sailors spread about the sea?
Anonymous No.41417877 [Report]

Who knows? Have you traveled by boat like they use to? It's certainly entertaining though

Believe what actual sailors say, not the retold versions.
When you live surrounded by the sea, it does something to your belief system and perception.
I live on small remote Island for a while.
Before and after experience.

Let me tell you retards about the true secrets of the occult control aka (lying to the gullible)

THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME
1. Continuity of port elites across regime changes
Carthage > Rome: After the Punic Wars, many Carthaginian merchant families didn’t vanish - they were absorbed into the Roman trading class. Roman patrician houses suddenly had “new” wealth tied to Iberian silver and African grain routes that had belonged to Punic networks.
Ottomans > Venetians > Dutch: Venetian Levantine trading houses simply rebranded under Ottoman charters, then “migrated” into Dutch & Genoese ventures. Same families, same ports, just different flags.
British Raj > Indian Corporates: Families like the Sassoons (“Rothschilds of the East”) moved seamlessly from opium traders under the Raj into modern global finance.

2. Ledger wins over throne
Templars vs. Kings: French monarchy feared Templars not for swords, but for their ledgers. When Philip IV “destroyed” them, their banking infrastructure just re-emerged in Hospitallers, Florentine banks, and ultimately Venetian/Dutch models.
East India Company vs. Crown: The British Empire was run less by kings and more by a charter company with its own army. When the Crown “took over” in 1858, the same ledgers & administrators kept running trade.
Wall Street Bailouts (2008): The U.S. government essentially bent to the books of a handful of firms, overriding democratic accountability.

3. Mythic continuity (god-swaps)
Melqart > Herakles: Tyrian sea god recast as Greek hero, but worship patterns at trade ports stayed identical.
Baal > Saturn/El > Yahweh: Old Levantine storm/sky god gradually absorbed into new state religions, but the port cults (offerings, festivals) continued.

>>41421470
Saint Nicholas > Santa Claus > Global Commerce: An Anatolian sea-saint, beloved of sailors and merchants, morphed into Coca-Cola’s Christmas mascot - but he still anchors the same gift-exchange economy.
Christ > Roman Imperial Idol: The rebel against empire becomes the new imperial mascot, locking the masses into a controlled form of escape.

4. Fear cartography
Phoenician Sea Monsters: Early maps mark “beyond here are dragons” to keep rivals from exploring routes they monopolized.
Medieval Taboos: Forbidden seas, cursed isles narrative tools to protect trade secrets.
Cold War Zones: Nuclear “doomsday zones” map almost perfectly onto strategic shipping lanes and oil choke points.
Modern Regulatory Blacklists: OFAC sanctions, no-go investment zones, and “terror finance” blacklists function like sea monsters: keeping others away while insiders move freely with back channels.

5. Shell migrations (after “falls”)
Babylon > Persia: Phoenician mercantile classes aided Persia against Babylon, but Persia ends up running Babylon’s trade networks intact.
Rome > Church > Venice: As Rome “fell,” the Church and later Venice inherited the very same trade law, weights & measures, coinage models.
Nazis > U.S. & Zion:
VW, Siemens, IG Farben, Krupp, etc. survive the “fall of the Reich” and flow into NATO-era economy.
NASA absorbs Nazi rocket science (Operation Paperclip).
Zionism is materially boosted by Nazi persecution -- the “enemy” fuels the outcome.
Ford, IBM, Chase Bank had active ties across the Nazi divide, showing the ledger continuity.
Soviet Union > Oligarchs > Global Capital: After 1991, the same networks simply rebranded into “oligarchs,” then parked their wealth in London and New York.

What this suggests

If the Phoenician thesis is right, then wars, ideologies, and empires are costumes the play is about ports, ledgers, and myths that anchor trade networks.
Every supposed “end” is just a shell migration: Babylon into Persia, Rome into Church, Nazis into NATO, Wall Street into bailouts.

The Phoenicians were seafarers, metallurgists, and traders. To inland Mesopotamians, their ability to cross the “endless sea” and return with gold, tin, cedar, and dyes must have looked superhuman.
If they presented themselves as chosen of the gods or gods themselves that would seed the myth of sky-born rulers who demand labor, mining, and tribute.
The “gold for gods” motif in Sumer could thus encode the Phoenicians’ mercantile extraction economy disguised in myth.
The Double-Myth Strategy
Atlantis was as a Phoenician invention to mythologize the fall of Babylon between two seas:
Babylon = between the Tigris & Euphrates (two seas/“waters of the deep”).
The fall of a mighty empire, swallowed by hubris, “sunk beneath the waters,” becomes Plato’s Atlantis much later likely through Phoenician intermediaries who passed Near Eastern tales into Greek memory.

Same template:
“We are the survivors
we are the chosen line
others fell.”
That’s a perfect myth for traders who never want to be seen as conquerors.

Sometimes. Not all of them, not all always, and the truth is not always well understood by the sailors. But they do see things out there, I think.

Large stretches of sea voyages are probably not too eventful once one gets into routine.

the phoenician's where also pirates creating a controlled opposition to bully rivals out of ther naval supply lines when myth-os wasnt enough
if you play both sides not only do you just tell a story a myth you create it in action
like how old seafarers who knew the stars could predict solar and lunar eclipses to proclaim divine right

going from a child raping murdering terrorist to praised revolutionary seems like a common trope people dont realize is a common trope

a lot of them were.
sailors spoke of rogue waves. educated people said this was bs. even when rogue waves were reported by entire crews after their steel ships encountered them and survived the educated people on land said it was impossible. for they didn't understand it. then oil rigs videotaped and measured rogue waves coming out of nowhere and they had to admit that despite not understanding why they are in fact real.
sailors spoke of giant squids with hooks instead of suckers. people said this was bs. but picture this, people have been whaling for millenia. they gutted sperm whales and pilot whales who ate giant squids. they saw the tentacles and they saw the eyes. giant and collosal squids, look at their proportions, it looks like its just the baby.
they say bringing women is bad luck. 100% this it true no way around it. theres a special kind of people who become sailors. mostly people who dont fit in on land. most of them are usable on a ship. but bring women around and some of those dudes turn total dumbasses and start fights or whatever. kinda like dogs if you bring a bitch in heat around. mind just go blank. causes so much trouble. you dont even have to be at sea for this to happen, like one of your buddies turning into this tough guy fuckn comedian the minute a woman enters the circle.

i spent some time fishing crabs in the barents sea. longest stint was 5 weeks straight without even seeing land. something happens to people when that far out and that isolated from the rest of the world, especially these days people are used to being connected at all times, going without reception for weeks really fucks with them. hysteria spreads like fire in grass. the mind is bored and starts making shit up. there is no actual authority, the entire thing is held together by trust and the belief in the authority officers hold. all it takes is for one psycho to steal something and say he saw someone else do it and all hell is loose.
