What are the esoteric implications of this show and the movies, it has a lot of religious imagery and interesting ideas I hope someone can help explain some of it.

Kyubey is the jew, magical girls are a metaphor for alternative lifestyles that are being shilled by jews to young, impressionable people, that bring good things at first but eventually turn them degenerate (witches).
For example, jews tricking zoomers into becoming internet outcasts, this will allow them to learn things and get to know people from all around the world and make friends, which is good. However in the long run, a lot of these people become crazy, joining movements like the LGBT community or garbage like this. Those are witches.
The proposed solution in the series is to leave the system as it is but automatically mercy kill the victims before they can turn degenerate.
Rebellion, which is structured like a critique of the original series, goes one step further, by having Homura attack the jew himself rather than playing by his rules like Madoka did.

on the surface level they are literally just being loosh farmed, so I wouldn't even call that an esoteric reading, as it's literally the plot of the series.
there is some stuff about madoka being some kind of god, and homura have that hold groundhog day thing going on, but honestly I find those things very silly, so I can't tell you if there is any "deeper" meaning to them.

one thing that stuck with me however is the notion that young girls in this age feel emotions very strongly, and that they often have this idealistic magical girl outlook, but during contact with the real world and puberty and sexualiy, all that gets disproven and therefore they turn into "witches". I do find that this is somethnig that you can see also in the real world.
and the anime does a very good job of portraying this visually, and with the soundtrack, the way the witches appear like huge blobs of twisted emotions. to me that was the most impactful part of this show.

Girl, magical girl, witch. Is just the logical progression. In the real world you can see real "witches" that curse the world, they are generally older women.
Most magical girls anime show girls in that stage of life where they need to grow up and not become a eternal maiden. But most of them take a bad decision.

The interpretation of it being a metaphor for women growing up doesn’t make much sense because women growing up isn’t an alternative lifestyle, it’s just normalcy. It’s not something women get tricked into doing by an external force while everyone around them is kept in the dark about it.

It can be seen as a metaphor of women growing up but due to bad decisions they become witches. Kazuko is a female written by Urobuchi and as you can see she reached a state where she was almost cursing the world, almost wanting the world to be ended.
