What are these rectangle patterns in the middle of nowhere Canada? I asked an AI and it said something mundane like seismic cutlines. Looks weird to me though.

It really depends on the type of the terrain, and bureaucratic shenanigans environmental controls allow you to do.
X and T formats are normal when you make a road for lumber, if you want to compare that pattern, check Bolivia, Paraguay or Brazil lumber regions.
