Normalcy Bias
We pledge information from artificial oracles and machines that we've created in the past. We see images that appear out of a black abyss, maybe those images even evoke eros into our pshyche in a twisted ritual. Sometimes instead of images we see videos of moments gone by, like ghosts forgotten trapped by a spell. We get inside metal capsules that move by themselves for transport. We have lights that negate the need for fear of the dark. We have conquered nature and spat on the darkness. Instead of looking up at night time we now look sideways into the lights we've created.

Night has been forgotten, darkness now arises inside instead of outwards. People don't fear the dark anymore and the stars don't shine as bright. We've exchanged the hierarchy of the stars by creating our own artificial lights down here. Now we can have a distorted eternal day by trying to create a perfect utopia on earth. Of course, this impulse inevitably will collapse by itself because the world does not work that way. Reality is not yours to dictate and changing night into day is not how things work. Our stupidity will be remembered as insanity and hubris. We are like stupid lucid dreamers unable to sense the mystical and symbolic value in dreams. We remain ignorant about consciousness in the mean time.

>>41444037 (OP) Civilization has always been a cancer to the individual, for it can only exist within certain confines. It doesn't matter what form it takes—social rules or spiritual systems of self-development—all of it is inherently limited by those who impose no restrictions on themselves. The right of the strong, alas.
I find it cute that you're still trying to reason from the perspective of the whole, rather than the individual. Forget where human civilization is heading—it's plunging into the abyss. Focus on your own worldview and goals. Human life is short. Only that truly matters.

It's funny. I just came to the conclusion last night that reading the future is really just reading the past with events that have already happened. And yes, the pride of man has in fact hidden the stars from us, distorting the pure and what should have been normal. You are oddly specific in your metaphors for I have also used the same symbolism and have the same thoughts. I also really enjoyed Angels Egg. Perhaps we are kindred spirits.

>Reality is not yours to dictate and changing night into day is not how things work.

This reads like judgment and supposition. What if reality *is* yours to dictate?

I believe OP meant more about denying reality and creating an artificial construct of a world for not only yourself but for others to exist in. But Suppose it is your right to do this. What gives you the right to influence others in such ways? The right of power and the right of persuasion can only give so much consent. One lacks strength and the other lacks wisdom.

Supposing it is my right to act so, I give myself that right.
