This isn’t actually true. They were looking for minds with certain qualities, not skills. If you needed to be a super computer programmer or professional code breaker to solve it, that would weed out the types of people they were looking for, they just wanted curious people who would follow a path and maby dive a little too deep into something. It didn’t matter than a normies with google could solve it, that’s what they wanted. It didn’t matter that team work could be used, because there was a sort of door into that anyways, even when it was solved most people didn’t see or follow the solution, so the ones that did were still a very small group, even if a few of them were just following what others told them to do.
