In my country being vaccinated was mandatory to go to school or work or even just outside actually, made mandatory by corrupt politicians who knew it was bad but got a few millions in exchange for the billions they helped big pharma make.

The way vaccines work is by stimulating your immune system to recognize and react to the target pathogen. mRNA vaccines like the covid one work a lot differently, but they still heavily involve the immune system, which will cause symptoms of illness as it becomes more active.
