It's bad because it hampers peoples free will and choice. Lack of wisdom about a subject does not equal consent. And hylics lack wisdom and therefore put themselves into slavery all the time then get angry at you for not yoking yourself to slavery as well. Then they use physical force which is even less consent then being tricked to put others into said slavery because "its what the good guys would do".
We have fundamentally reached an issue now where if you were to free people they will just fall apart and die on the spot without willpower of their own. But that isn't my responsibility to worry about.
