All the gods of the world are real, or we'd all be able to agree on shit. Yahweh has just enjoyed a lot of influence because he's the god of social control and mental manipulation, so it's natural that his followers would care so much about controlling people. Most older religions and cults were either disinterested in converts or outright wanted to be left alone, taking the "divide" out of "divide and conquer" for the cult of control.
