>>204586 They are venture trucks. I tried tightening them only to realize they won’t get tighter.

>>203899 I'm 30 and starting to get into it. I think it's cooler than skating. It's also easier and better on the body in my opinion. Plus I like being able to really get around on my bike. On a board everything is slower and so much effort.
>>207233 >On a board everything is slower and so much effort. nah, actually riding bmx for any distance is so uncomfortable, unless you're a manlet. Nothing beats cruising from spot to spot on a board, and it's much easier to hop on a metro/bus/uber with one if you're tired.
>>207298 Right because tiny hard wheels over bitumen/coarse concrete and cracks is so much quicker and easier than actual fucking tyres. and pushing a board along is so much easier than pedalling. And going slightly uphill is just easier on a board than pedalling on a bike. And standing for the entire ride instead of having the option to sit is so much nicer. Have you ever been outside? You've never skated or ridden.
>>207362 >going slightly uphill is just easier on a board than pedalling on a bike you pick the board up and walk with it. cycling uphill on bmx is not easy, you'll just end up pushing it.
>having the option to sit as I said, unless you're an absolute manlet or riding some 1980s bmx this is not a realistic option
Hope Alex Hiam is recovering well after his crash at SS24

>>207298 The speed:effort ratio is by far in favor of my bmx, I can get somewhere much quicker with less effort on my bike instead of my board. I dont need to watch for pebbles or cracks, and I can roll over almost any terrain. Its a much more relaxing experience for me.

This should be the gold standard for BMX. https://youtu.be/u3A6Wnh2Mc8?si=FmS_V23aphnjVjJc
Too many kooks like chad kerley just making bmx look embarrassing, what a fucking disgusting human
>>201942 (OP) I can't do tricks on a BMX but I went on a downhill ride and it was fucking exhilarating. Heart pumping, adrenaline fueled excitement. Bumps on the sidewalk, turning and avoiding obstacles. Reminded me of those POV youtube videos of those guys on trails riding their dirtbikes. Gotta say I prefer skateboarding but man that was a treat.
>>201942 (OP) When I was in high school in the early 00s, some kid brought a VHS (still a thing at the time) tape compilation of BMX to study hall class. It was the most boring thing ever but as soon as we left this other kid said “that was so gay” and all the other kids around that heard it laughed their asses off.
