>>235820You dumb russian snownigger. I repeat. First, live in Sakartvelo, not a Russia. Second, club took me because I already had athletic background. Third, we don't have this soviet system os master sports etc. and funding system in Caucasus is different from what you have at Russia. And at least as it was already stated men my age can participate in wrestling tournament and thereby be competetive wrestler. There is age bracket of "youth 23 and younger" and tournaments for fullgrown adults, veteran tournaments and etc on regional or national level. So you can still be competetive wrestler, though obviously it's not guaranteed you can succeed and it will be hard if you started late, but I have seen dudes with half year experience flawlessly executing things like farmer's carry and laying down flat guys with 2+ year experience who compete in the same weightframe. You actually can even go to international bouts in europe competing with guys in their late 20's, though chances of getting there are vanishingly small obviously because they are head and shoulders above then regional/national lvl wrestlers.
>here always was high demand for boxing classes for adults, much much higher than for wrestlingActually it's other way around especially in Caucasus. Actual boxing gym with a coach who will train you at competetive lvl is as rare if not even rarer then grappling, because it demands almost as much athleticism and is very dangerous for your head, and lots of people can't get over the fear of ngetting punched to the face. If you actually had been training boxing you would have learned coach won't even let you spar for the first half of year/full year and needles to say you won't have free fight with full force punches at all unless your oponnent agrees and apparently it would pointless thing for both to do unless at least one is going competetive due to head injury risk. I had 5-6 free fights early in period of 4-5 month and got concussion accumulated.
