my bars are slipping when i do bunny hops, i had a generic stem before and bought this used Cult Salvation V2 stem for a low price, but i think it's messed up, it grips better than the last stem i had but i'm not sure if this is normal, it also has like a little broken piece but is too small, idk if that's the problem or it's my bunny hop technique

The little chip shouldn't be a big deal. Use some sandpaper on the bars and on the inside of the stem, clean it off after with iso/acetone. Always cross tighten the stem bolts, it really makes a difference.
