I have been a boxer for 2 1/2 years. I'm not amazing, but I'm not awful.
I used to do iron tiger and choy li fut when I was a kid for about 3 years.
I happened to mention this to some dude at the gym the other day when he asked me about what sports I have done, and he invited me to this martial arts mma thing. At first I was skeptical since I never expanded on Chinese martial arts, and lets be honest boxing is more or less worthless against anyone who knows how to use their legs or grapple.
He reassured me by saying everyone there had poor stamina, especially compared to me and everyone else at the gym. I felt like maybe I wouldn't get hurt as bad as I thought, at least not anything serious, so I accepted.
Today he tells me that some of the people there have years of experience and some of them are even professional competitors.
Guys, I haven't practiced any basic martial arts for over a year. Besides boxing, if I tried to do any iron tiger or anything, I would fuck it up. Should I just pussy out?
