It's a part of having autism. Unironically though, not as like some random insult. This is a thing autistic people do where they wallow in their own inability and self-sabotage by only giving half attempts at the thing they're not actually that interested in, and wondering why they can't improve. It's the same reason you "Can't" roleplay, or write, or do any of those things you wanna do.

You have separated the idea of effort getting results, and find a bit of comfort in just declaring that you can't do something because it's better than the alternative, which is acknowledging that the amount of effort you thought was acceptable for improving, wasn't actually enough.

The actual way to improve is to press yourself and draw/RP/etc, better today than you did yesterday, and you keep doing that until you actually improve. Not just, "Do as good as you can" and then rage about it online for the rest of the day.

It's probably time you abandon this knee jerk habit of being mad that you're not making fantastical art and great RPs out the gate, and either actually try, or stop dwelling on it and go do what you're actually interested in. You surely have an autistic obsession somewhere that's not about being a great artist.

The way people actually improve is by doing the thing despite the fact they think they're shit at it, and as they practice for fun they get better and better at it without really perceiving it.

If you push yourself to improve for some end-goal of being really good at art, you just get stressed out an give up because you're waiting for something that takes a long time.

Talent exists but it doesn't determine how good you can get. That's entirely based on your mindset.
What Anon means when they said you have no "Eye" for this stuff is that you lack the natural understanding of the artform that some people have, and that you probably won't have the determination necessary to learn it otherwise.

It's harder to get good at art when you aren't born with an innate understanding of these things, but you can get it if you stop beating yourself up so hard.
Just acknowledge you're bad at it, do it anyway, and one day you won't be bad. Stop scribbling over all your shit and having a panic attack and writing failure on everything.

I've read the advice and I'm starting to accept I am too critical of myself, self hatred and self doubt, too self aware that I allow perfect to be the enemy of good. I know this now.

I had fun, I loved this, I liked doing 3D stuff, one of my main issues was that I micromanaged everything, redoing and doing so simple stuff took me hours. That's my own fault, I just don't want to feel stuck, I wanna see improvement.

Don't use Cycles for stylized characters. Fortnite's rendering engine is much closer to Eevee than it is to Cycles. That's what's causing the fuzz.
Fix your lights and your environment. Since this is a Fortnite character, but it in a Fortnite world with the same type of lighting Fortnite uses.

you do have to tell them a story, regardless of how simple or degenerate it is.
so if you wanna make fortnite, tell a story about whats going on that is relevant to fortnite. why does it matter that shes undressing, or getting railed, or whatever. what makes the viewer go "whoa, what happened here?"
you really dont need to understand much about the tech of blender to be "good." look up 3 point lighting and experiment with that. youll instantly see an impovement. other than that, tell a story.
