How I add color/texture to this obj.file?

I donwloaded this STL model https://www.psdly.to/chucky-bishoujo-3d-print-model but my 3d max 2012 always crashed when I tried to imported it so I used MeshLab to convert this file from STL to OBJ and it worked, but now when I try to drop a png texture on this 3D model nothing happens(the model just changes to a slighty color white)

Idk about autodesk but my guess is you need to make sure its UV unwrapped

And how i do that?(im a turbo noob sorry)

I want make a skin for a videogame using this 3d model, I was able to make a little test and yeah it works in my game, the only issue I have now is how i texture this thing because pic related is what happens when i try to drop any texture:

On the body(another model but still beign one single mesh with chucky's girl head) you can see that droping a png picture for the texture it works, but when i do the same with the head the texture is so tiny i just can't work with it

take a look at her head, the unwrap is fucked. you're in for a real headache, you have to select each face then use your program's unwrapping tools to map each face to a specific part of your texture. that will get you block colours at least.

as for using it as a skin, it doesnt have a rig or armature right? that means you probably need to create one that matches the game's skeleton and do the weight painting for it too
