is this program worth anything? I am primarily going to decide between it and blender. I am a complete permabeg. Any thoughts? not a single person on /v/ or /vg/ or /3/ has ever talked about it afaik.

if you're a beginner I'd go with blender instead. I found crocotile a bit unwieldy, and its use case is far more limited than blender, plus blender has a far larger community

Blender is never going to be anything that you cultists claim. Wings3D is simple, easy and well documented. Blender will never be able to match that kind of logic.

Is worth the price?
Yes.

Can it do anything?
No.

This tool is more like rpg maker tilemap creator but for 3D.
It's good for retro indie games, if you need a quick tilemap modeler in 3D.

For making things like a 3D low poly house or a pixel 3D table or pixel 3D furniture is great.

I used to be a huge blender fag.

But I've bought pixelover, aseprite, unionbytes, assetforge, kenneyshape, vroid studio.

And While blender is amazing and can do everything.

Sometimes using a spoon to drink a soup, or getting a simple knife is better than using the tool with 500 diferent shit when you only want a simple spoon to drink soup.

Having said that, crocotile3D is worth buying if you're looking for a level editor in 3D, similar to rpg maker.
