Sheep is the most sympathetic girl, Nana and Mako are hot and Mako would make a great wife and she has a good personality despite being a bit of an introvert, Kurea is also hot and cute. I love the stupidity of Oshinko. She reminds me a bit of Aqua but much cuter. I also really love the clerk maybe my top 4 after Sheep, Nana and Mako.

HibiMeshi is the only currently airing anime I'm watching, I dropped mono because it's really bad.
I have the feeling that most currently airing anime is not worth watching because in general most media isn't worth my time.
People often recommend current things solely because they're current and not unbearably bad. I don't care much about "being a part of" something ongoing, so I usually only watch old shows/movies that people still recommend.
I only picked up mono because of Yuru Camp and this because of NNB.

I searched for english/international reviews of it on youtube.
The only thing I've found was some weird indian with low numbers who reviewed every episode and some podcast video from two weeks ago but the podcast seemed to have only watched the first or the first few episodes. The podcast claimed that the food looks rather bland compared to something like Shokugeki no Soma, Dungeon Meshi or some food anime called Graffitti something and said that it isn't something really worthy for PA works.
It also complained about the character designs being to bland and average something that is supposed to stand out to make otakus buy figurines of it, they also complained about the opening and ending being average and the opening sounding like someone used chatgpt to fuse the openings of the last 20 years of such kind of shows.
It said something like we shouldn't tolerate mediocrity in the year 2025.
It also called the background of the school making it look like it was run down and speculated if it was a design choice and ended up saying it is their shortest review and only mentioned four girls despite showing official art of all five of them in their video as video background which implies that they haven't watched the Nana episode.
I was a bit pissed after hearing it because I like the show.
They also did a review for Zatsu Tabi where they also complained about how the food look like especially compared to something like Dungeon Meshi. They called the show as like the meme where the same things are shown, a mountain here no reaction, a mountain in Japan sugoi. But they were more positive towards it because it is like a youtube travel blog and for some people it might be the right kind of show.

Hibimeshi (Hibi wa Sugiredo Meshi Umashi) is a cgdct anime airing this season. It's by PA works (Penis Ass works) but it's really good in spite of that. The creative leads are the same people who were behind Non Non Biyori, like the writer, director, composer for the music, etc. The girls are very cute and they have fantastic chemistry together. Every episode features a food cooking montage and of various dishes because the girl's club is centered around food. It is one of the truly great cgdct in a very long time and anyone here will strongly recommend it. There are two episodes left.
I have been making collages of each food montage since I started watching. This one is hot pot and fish in episodes ten. I also decided to make a bonus collage of a funny scene from earlier in the episode because I like it so much

I think Yuru Camp is still doing great. In the manga, they visit some spots in Gunma that even I didn’t know about, and I live here. It feels like a big step up this time because they’re actually going to "hidden gem" locations. Most people from Gunma are more familiar with the northwest side (like Tanigawa) or the northeast toward Nikko, rather than the western areas. Like seriously, who’s ever heard of Nozori Lake?

They also went to some cool places like Annaka’s Megane Bridge (been there before). It’s a nice spot and pretty under visited. They even head toward Karuizawa, which has some scenic roads.

The best thing about Yuru Camp is how slow it is. Way way slower than Mono, which only scratches the surface. I did find it a bit retarded that they barely showed Kamikochi. That place is stunning, esp if you stay for a few days to hike and camp deeper in. They also barely touched on the remnants of the Bubble Burst era, which is a rich topic for anime or manga. Instead, they spent half an episode on Haruno and a fucking winery.

Yamanashi is so mainstream for camping that there’s not much excitement left in watching it. 伊豆 Izu in S2 was a lot of fun, even if it’s also mainstream. S3 throws in some biker knowledge too, like the Oi River road in Shizuoka. I’m still really enjoying it, esp since they’re branching out from the usual places. The newer content feels more geared toward Japanese locals. On the other hand, Zatsu Tabi and Mono were kind of boring because I already know all the popular places they go to.
