I’ll admit, I watched Naruto as a kid, but I only really got into anime years later - right around the time when pretentious weebs started flooding every anime community.
In a classic case of hating what I used to be, I’ve grown tired of people approaching anime like they’re chasing some “deep” or “unusual” masterpiece, while dismissing anything that’s just plain fun to watch.
Now that every idiot watches anime on the daily, YouTube analysis videos are getting more and more popular. And I’m constantly reminded of it thanks to the algorithm pushing Gigguk-type content into my recommendations.
When does the fad end? When do we go back to being seen as creepy pedos again?
