I've been reading Shaman. It's another one of Itagaki's works and I find it interesting that even though it's about normal people and normal people problems it still has a bit of "Baki" logic in it, from how people behave and their line of thinking

Because Itagaki fundamentally misunderstands what kind of story Garouden is trying to tell, and it can be surmised in perfect by a single sequence: Fujimaki vs Himekawa.
>Itagaki's version: Himekawa doesn't take that much damage and spends most of the fight humiliating Fujimaki. Strong is beautiful, someone who works hard can't beat someone who's having fun, etc.
>Yumemakura's original: Fujimaki still loses but beats Himekawa senseless in the process and legitimately makes him fear for his life, basically gives him PTSD. Entire point of the fight is that the survival/kill or be killed mindset is extremely dangerous, and Himekawa only won by bringing Fujimaki into his field of fighting for fun. Hell, Himekawa literally states in the novel that wouldn't beat Tanba because he doesn't have the kind of rabid tenacity to survive someone like Tanba does

We missed out on a ton of Kino moments because at least half of them would have gone to the villains and Sandro couldn't have his faves get humiliated for proper storytelling moments like that, so instead he shifts and shits the narrative so badly to deny his villain roster any sort of Kino moments and to protect his Asura characters that it ruins the story and pacing
KvP had "some" kino moments for the villains but it doesn't last long and eventually every villain that shows up starts speaking in Jobber tongue

You'd think this was just Shen being stupid and not taking this seriously but given Sandro's track record this could just be his way of giving us a heads-up not to expect anything through Shen

While OPM is as bad as Kengan, if not worse for some people, it has less points of hate (Blast, God, redraw Hell). While in case of Kengan you can hate a lot of characters, the way any decent character gets fucked, every introduced plot point, Sandro's model of morality and the art, of course.

Is Kengan Omega the worst paced manga ever made?

I can understand some episodic manga without any overarching plot dragging on for like 1000+ chapters.
But as far as manga with overarching plots are concerned, Omega has to be the worst. You can go through literally dozens of chapters and have whatever progression they bring about be condensed into only like 3-4 chapters in a better written manga.

I would have been fine with the skeleton of the new version of the vessel plot. Ohma and Ryuki had to have been cloned from someone in the first place after all, someone presumably very important/strong, who probably wasn't Tiger Niko himself. That part was fine. Yan(back when he was just the shadowy faceless leader of the worm) was a candidate theory back then, I remember.
But then clearly Tiger Niko's goal should have been to hijack the whole thing to his own ends, to take the intended new body for himself. What happened to all the stuff about him being a barely trusted sketchy outsider to the Worm with no loyalty to it? He stopped having any agency of his own the second Fei blew up, he just wandered around for years doing nothing until Luohan sat down at the bar with him and went "hey want to betray Shen with me lmao" and he just went along with it.

First there was tiger niko as the main antagonist, he threw him to the side to turn Edward (his best written villain till now.) into the villain. Edward had everything as a main villain, he was a fan favorite, had a cool design and was a actual threat to the story just for him to die with no reason. After he threw edward away he started with Shen and people liked him because he had a cool relationship with Joji.

But we liked it because we knew shen was evil and strong so we wanted to see what happens after joji finds out that shen wants to kill ohma. But nothing happend and Sandro threw away that storyline after he said they’re friends (after that chapter we saw him hangout way less than before they even knew he was evil).
He thought people liked shen and turned him good without thinking about the idea that he needs a villain. That‘s how luohan was created but because he didint had the time to develop luohan as a evil guy he wants us to accept that he‘s evil because the characters in the manga say so…

Sandro is the type of guy who has a idea just completes 5% of the idea before he gets a new one and throws his old idea away. He did it 3-4x now and he‘ll do it to Luohan as well. Give him 6-7 months and we have a new „evil“ guy

Either Luohan manages to put up a decent fight, Shen stops the fight, re-evaluate his clone and decides to allow him in his little game in a few months
Or Luohan jobs in 10 pages and just dies while Niko is left as the only proper antagonist/villain

If the first happens there's the chance that Niko then just backstabs Luohan and kills him after Shen goes away
