As I mentioned, my original take stemmed from not being familiar with "get out of town" as a similar figurative expression to "no way!" or "get out of here", which I addressed shortly after others kindly explained it to me. Without that key piece of knowledge, the English translation (a literal command) did not correspond to the Japanese sense, which I hope you may see.
Next time I'll remember to add a softening "in any way I can think of", so you don't feel as bugged or offended.
If you'll go out of your way to give advice over some annoyance, I would expect you're open to receiving suggestions, no?
In such case, I would recommend you also follow propriety at all times, esp. after implying you are a native English speaker.
