Yeah. To my knowledge, they, alongside Goddess Glasses, were borrowed designs and not made by ONE, so they couldn't be used in the manga, hence them being replaced.
I don't think it really was a good idea to include the Nintento here already, though. They should've kept their existence secret until the actual ninja arc since I can't believe that either Flash or Sonic wouldn't make them a top priority, and the whole monster cell and especially demonsterization is just total nonsense (Garou should've been the only exception and only because he wasn't fully committed and his monster form was more of a costume than anything).

The pacing was sometimes a little too brisk for the WC, cause ONE was working to the absolute limit of his abilities as an artist. He stretched himself hard to realize his ideas on the page. Whereas for long-running manga like One Piece, the faster pace early on is simply because the mangaka early in his run isn't assured he will have years to tell a story, so the initial arcs tend to be fast paced and fairly self-contained.

Some of the manga's additions were good, but unfortunately Murata ruined them with the redraws anyway. Not only for the waste of time but also for genuinely ruining the quality of the writing with the redraws.

Honestly, I think this is the one point where the power scaling doesn't hold up for me.
Garou managed to subdue Rover in one hit, while he was still weaker than Darkshine, who admits that Bang kicked his ass in a sparring match. Bang and Bomb together should've had no issue dealing with Rover.
It's also just hard to tell just how strong Rover is meant to be, since this makes him look as if Golden Sperm is the only cadre who has him beat in fighting ability.
