From chapter 1 all the way to chapter 123 Eren was resolved. His entire thing was "I just keep moving forward until my enemies are destroyed"
he fought, trained, sacrificed, put himself through hell, saw the future where he would kill billions, still chose to move forward. He chose to use the power of the founder to unleash the wall titans and start flattening the world, and the last thing we see or hear from him is him stating (via PATHS) is that he's going to kill everyone to protect Paradise, his home, and all of the people he calls friend and family. And he actually does it. He marches across the oceans and kills basically all of humanity, destroys the vast majority of their cities, crushes their women, children, sick, elderly, even the little babies were crushed.
Chapter 137 it was revealed that it was actually all an elaborate plan Eren has been secretly enacting since way back when he first saw the future. While I don't think Eren as the father was ever actually in the cards, I do think the author probably originally had some other ideas for Historia that got abandoned when he started getting burned out and rushing to the ending. Same as how the Mikasa/Hizuru thing went nowhere. what you guys don't understand about Japan is that they are perpetually cucked as a nation and have been since WW2 ended.
That's why they have to go on and on about forgiving their enemies, being pacifists, and making peace even against people who want to murder them.
This all goes back to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Japan had to grit its teeth and surrender despite the destruction of their cities and the deaths of tens of thousands, not to mention the fact that they got demolishing in the war.
Their nation was directly then indirectly subjugated and forced to just "drop it" and as a result, they experienced unprecedented growth, but even to this day they are not allowed to have a military capable of aggression, only defense.

This national stance on surrender, forgiveness, and peace has bled into the cultural zeitgeist and shows itself in their art and their behavior, in this case their Manga and Anime. A few series break from this trend but most of the more popular series always include some kind of pacifism, forgiveness, and antagonists-turned-allies.

That's blatantly false. He said that he used to have everything planned out since the beginning. But then he realized that he preferred changing things here and there as he went on. And it is pretty much clear if you re-read everything in one binge, that a lot of things, such as the merging of the physical world with the spiritual, were planned out since very early. And the notion that after decades he still didn't have an endgame plan sounds extremely stupid to me.
Also, i don't think the delays in the last 10 years before his death, from 2010, were due to his perfectionism. Since he used to be pretty much consistent with his schedule for more than 20 years since the beginning. There had to be other personal reasons i think. But regardless of that, i don't think anyone has the right to call out an author if he doesn't want to keep going anymore. It is true that suddenly taking a slowed schedule, or even stop altogether doesn't sound very fair to the fans who have been reading for years, but in the end the author is a human being. As unsatisfactory as it may be i think it is far better to have a masterpiece remains unfinished, rather than taking shortcuts or someone else trying to finish it like those pieces of shit at Hakusensha are doing right now. It should have been the same for SnK, if it had to end like that it would have been much better that it never ended, that something happened preventing Isayama to keep going. At the very least fans could have keep dreaming of a proper ending.
