Okay, let’s examine the shoe from a meta level then if you want to go down that route. However what it fails to have is that it take a middle portion of the Divine Comedy (Purgatorio/Purgatory) out of the equation while saying that Hell is just a place where sinners go and not necessarily eternal punishment. Now that in of itself would be fine, South Park did something like that 20 years ago. However the issue lies with making Heaven an oppressive/tyrannical force which is fundamentally against the cosmology itself given that for it to work God, Jesus, and all the others are THE force of good and virtue. To go against that wreaks havoc. So in the ends this falls into edgy fan fic tier shit made by someone that is bitter about having to go to church on Sunday. This cannot be escaped or ignored.
