I’m leaning to the theory that’s she’s a defective / failed Neo Human, perhaps she developed emotions and Neo Human society cruelly tortured and ostracized her for it. Note her severe injuries, pupils, shivering, and the unrefined violence with the Lawless gang. She’s just trying to live with the humans because that’s only place where her emotions can be accepted. Sort of like a human who can’t live with humans and so ended up living with apes.

Pretty much my thoughts on her. However, Heidi is still assertive like a Neo Human. I bet her arc for the story is to become more like a regular human emotionally.

I wonder what the Neo Humans plan to do with the parasites. There is a chance it could backfire on them. However, we need to see how they handled the infected Titan to be able to retrieve Ario. There were a lot of dead bodies for it to assimilate.

Probably on the protags’ side, yeah. The story is definitely emphasizing her danger, but it’s also avoided portraying her as being outright villainous, which is pretty striking when she acted at the exact moment Takuya was about to die, saving him in the process.

Of course, this could be a twist on the authors part where she’s actually completely aware of how morally gray she appears and is trying to twist Takuya’s impression of her to play around with the group’s trust, but I’d set that as a low possibility. A bit too convoluted.

The Titans? No. It would be too close with Gaia's Wrath. The story set up that the forests are home to animals considered to lord over it. Daikokuzan is likely inspired by Godzilla, and the kaiju of his franchise are usually giant versions of existing animals like Mothra and Kamacuras. The machines are likely going to build their own mech version of Daikokuzan. The aliens might clone him.

The other natural enemies will provide the kaiju for Daikokuzan to fight. Parasites can become Super Wurms, and there are the giant animals of Gaia's Wrath. I expect the latter will have a giant ape that will fight Daikokuzan like Godzilla versus King Kong. The aliens might have their own creature to fight Daikokuzan in the extermination team they are making. We see the alien that Jachi fought release creatures to attack him. There is a possibility that the World Tree will create or act like Biollante. We still need to see what it can do.

Heidi is on the side of Heidi is what I'm betting on. She's no good to the Neo-Humans due to being disfigured, but she doesn't respect "Paleo-Humans" much either, especially if they act dumb.
The Neo-Humans may eventually try to bribe her to betray the group, or already have. But I could see her choosing humans out of spite.

I'm happy to see the heroes potentially having a trump card with Heidi. She took out the Lawless and definitely going to handle future NEs they come across. However, she is clearly not invincible. There is also the horn Hallow got from Kiva to summon demons, but he is on his own adventure.

You forget one major trait that the Neo-Humans have, though. They don't want to just kill humans. They want to play with them and torture them. They are a ruthless bunch and a a natural enemy for a reason.

I think she's either a hybrid or a failed neo human. They said neo humans are a mutation among humans, Heidi could be a failed mutation, one that is not part of the neo humanity hivemind. So, she's neither neo human nor she's paleo human, she's someone that doesn't have a place to belong to.

The way Heidi mentions how illogical the decision was to check in on the room, I wonder if a Neo Human thing will be that beyond seeking entertainment, they'll be super logical without any empathy that humans normally have. If they're the type to operate on pure logic, it'd also explain why Heidi is sticking with the group and playing along for now, because it heightens her own survival odds.

Uki using the space plate couldn't damage Jachi with his cape and he was only around his level or just a little above at most.
If 28 is the number of madalans, it means that their number is less than the number of demon kings, which is 47, and that demon kings other than Jachi may be weaker than the madalans.
