Not only this is cool as fuck and creative, but it's an example of a truth that only the best creatives in anime understood: animation is a very physical medium. It's made of drawings that you manipulate to imply the illusion of life, it's materials that you slide, color, modify, cut and paste... anime is made of stuff, of backgrounds and cells moving at different rates, of lines and colors on the drawing board...
That effect could never have been made in live action and that's why I love anime.

I love the sheer amount of EFFORT went into something like Genocyber, they just randomly have live-action props in addition to the masterfully done animation, it really helps sell the surreal horror of the series, it's that unique blend of physical medium you just never see anymore outside of maybe Mad God...

Nobuteru Yuki is a 11/10 character designer. I also like how he's able to completely reinvent his style every 5 years. Escaflowne (the movie too!) being also one of my favorites. Deedlit and Hitomi being 11/10 waifus in my opinion, too.
