LN chapter lengths vary, but the manga is currently in the middle of volume 6 of 13 so far, a new girl appearing roughly every 2 volumes up to 5 total. Later parts of the LN start making a larger number of changes from the WN that has been passed.

LN suffered from editorial meddleship around volume 11 and since then author really slowed down. WN was at Emperror heels namek for years and latest volume 13 of LN came out after big gap. But I agree it's very down to earth otherwordly adventure, with emphasis on daily grind. One of my favorite isekai.

If you're interested in LN, don't bother with FanTL: that faggot has some grudge against series and maimed it pretty badly. DLraw has volumes 01-10 and look into archive with JP name, I've uploaded vol11, 12 & 13 to catbox. If you convert epub to TXT and tell chrome to use extensions for local files, you can right-click "translate to english" entire TXT novel in one go (scroll down a bit to completely translate). GoogleTL became much better than it used to be.

If the plot doesnt ever reference the transportation or explore it in any way, then no it wouldnt. Protag dies and gets reincarnated into a new world with a hax power that amazes people turns into Protag that was from the boonies is spurred to go on an adventure and gets to the big city, people are amazed at his secret hax power. Nothing significant changes about the plot or premise. Again, you could not do the same with Digimon because the entire premise is a bunch of kids get transported and the spend half the series trying to figure out what happened, how to survive, and find a way back hom. You could not make them local residents, because it would break the entire premise and require a massive rewrite in comparison.

Isekai that barely, if at all, touch upon the isekai aspect would need very slight alterations. We are talking changing the first chapter a little. Protag reincarnates with bullshit power that everyone is amazed by turns into Protag from the boonies comes to the big city with a bullshit power that everyone is amazed by. If the protag is in the boonies, it explains why he might not know shit just as easily as someone being dropped into a new world. It required barely any alterations compared to an isekai like Digimon, which if you took away the "transported to another world" thing, requires a completely different premise on the onset because the entire bit is kids trying to figure out what happened and how to survive in this land and how to get back home to a different world, which wouldnt exist if said element was taken away. Hence, Digimon is a good isekai because the plot revolves around it being a fucking isekai rather than just a lazy way to info dump exposition, which you can do in several other ways.
