Had to offset them by about a second and a half to line them up though. That and since it's amateur I'm left wondering if some of the translations are more/less accurate than what I already had. Its a sheer miracle that this show even got revived. I haven't seen the camrip either but I don't think the demon thing is gonna be anything more than a joke because having Stocking in that role would be very limiting for both the story and the comedy gags. I expect that the main thing Stocking will do is try and get Panty to feel less weird about actually liking Brief and get her to try and have more emotional stuff with him, at least if we go from Season 1.

Season 1's biggest emotional/character development is that because of Stocking falling in love with the poop guy, Panty got the idea of true love implanted in her head, which then made her pay more attention to Brief and led to her fully crushing on him by the end of the season. Considering how Love and Attraction is pretty much the main thing about PSG and is overpresent in the music and story, I do think they'll make that a focus in Season 2 again, just more present.

Below the quality of the average episode purely from season 1 because it was mostly focused on the action, which - while good and entertaining, as usual - has never been the series' strongest point, and didn't match up to the greatest action moments of season 1 (P&S vs S&K). Some of the jokes also didn't land for me. The animation was different than the original series - looked distinctly more digitak and used some sharper, thinner lines that I think don't compliment the series' regular art style - BUT was still great. The series has just set a very high standard.. The sound track was also fantastic.

I probably have a much more objective view of it not tinted by overly high expectations or nostalgia, since I'm a newfag, so my score will probably be quite different than other people.

This was absolutely godlike. This is definetly the best "it's been a while" restart episode I have ever seen to a series. Everything is fun, the series is brought to a point where we can start the zany stuff again but with meaningful dynamic changes from S1, Brief was amazing, the sisters were amazing, the demon sisters were amazing. The animation was just as good as the og if not better since the 3d-esque stuff seems a lot better made this time around. They brought back the real life demon segments too, the music was amazing.
