Shanks und Blackbeard are halfbrothers.

Oda may have been inspired by the story of Helen of Troy. I think that Teach's mother was also a queen of a kingdom. Teach's mother was rumored to be the most beautiful woman in the world, a red-haired maiden, the crown jewel of Hacinosu. A worthy trophy wife to the soon to be king of pirates, Rocks D. Xebec. But consequently due to her beauty, she was wanted by the celestial dragons specifically the commander of the God Knights, Garling. After recently giving birth to Teach, she was promptly abducted to become a wife of Garling and soon after gave birth to a set of twins (Shamrock and Shanks).

The actual event at God Valley is a little obscured. The queen may have already been dead prior to the event or was killed in the event and she was the one who put Shanks in the treasure chest. But the death of the queen is what triggered Rocks to have gone berserk and hurt innocent bystanders and thus required the combine strength of both Roger and Garp to stop him.

It works by basically manifesting the dish or food item pictured in his or someone else's head when the power is activated, with the only drawback being that it doesn't work on people with aphantasia or out of line of sight. My whole deal was setting out to be a humanitarian celebrity and cure world hunger and boost ratings to awaken the fruit to unlock the ability to do a food radar that lets the power create the food people desire so long as they see Guy Gourmet himself, with the long-term plan being to run a show over Den Den Mushi broadcasts kind of like Uta so anyone in the world could tune in and get free food like having a wish granted.

Anyway I went to Marineford and "illegally" fed hundreds of soldiers suffering from wartime with the Revolution and Greenbull arrested me and sent me to Impel Down to rot.

My opinion is that it's not because he doesn't look like the silhouette it's bad, it's pretty consistent actually compared to loki kaido etc but those had better actual designs imo aside from kaido skipping leg day.

for rocks his silhouette looked better and even fanart looks better, i think the problem imo is the face he has a fat face like teach when he's skinny and also the nose changed i think, a skinnier face or different nose would make him look good but still look like teach, the eyes and hair are alright but he looks way too much like teach in general not much uniqueness in his design.
