Kirakira Precuer A La Review 39!

I just can't get the reviews smaller. I don't know why. But this is a two parter, so I'm a little reserved with my opinions as the next episode could change it.

Summary for the anons that need it: Ghost man gathers the girls together to announce a gathering of fairies expressing his growing concerns of Noir. Ichika is pretty excited, and even moreso once the thousands arrive. In the dark realm Graves works to control his Diable-car and Ellsio comes by to help him, noting Graves's determination. With all the fairies and Cures together, the fairies put on a shadow play, followed by the elder fairies expressing their worries with the current state of the Cures. After the Cures bribe the fairies with their desserts, the fairies are much more willing to trust in them. Fairies appeased, KiraPati is opened and a cooking party begins. Meanwhile Gummy(former kirakira thief) goes to look over the reviving Pikario and rejects Kirarin's apology, Gummy explaining Julio just faustered an already dark heart. The party really gets into swing with all the fairies and girls to make batches of all the desserts. In town Graves appears and soon starts spreading his corruption. Bibury, who's been left behind, complains how she's left with all the chores when she spots Graves and quickly runs. The town's corruption reaches the girls and they quickly meet Graves and his suped up ride. The Cures find themselves surrounded by nendo soldiers, which turns out to be all the towns people. The cures are handicapped, and Macaron takes a shot at Graves only get get hard punched in the ass. Graves announces his powerup comes from absorbing Diable; Yukari had been confused by his disappearance. As the cures continue to struggle, Graves announces his depravity and begins taking the cures out. Pekorin gets knocked away and Bibury catches her, before hightailing it up the mountain with the Nendos on her tail.

Summary continued: Bibury gets the fairy party into the safety of the mountain, but its not enough and Bibury creates a shield to stop the Nendos, and discuss how the Cures/Fairies are too goodie-two-shoes that they will always lose like this. Bibury's shield fails, and Lumiere seems to agree as a bright light shines from the inner sanctum. Back with the Cures, Graves's killing blow is neutralized as Julio steps forward offering to help equalize the playing field.

This is before the super forms from the movie so the cures are still weak compared to the generals. If I hadn't seen the movie, I believe I'd be feeling pretty weird about now what the fuck Lumiere was thinking having to intervene in these battles. But I know the forms are coming, so I'll let it slide.

I wasn't expecting Bibury this episode as I thought she might have showed up early if she showed up at all. But her sudden appearance to yell at the fairies was pretty good. Forgot to mention the fairies formed a line once Bibury's shield failed which might have activated the final bit of reviving for Pikario, but it might also just be the Cures are getting hard smashed.

Not really. I would just recommend going in a semi-random order. Production order is kind of recommended against because watching Futari wa, its immediate sequel Max Heart, and Splash Star (which is very similar to Futari wa at first glance) all in a row can be a slog.
Also, Gogo is a direct sequel to Yes 5, and the late night spinoffs should be avoided until you've watched the mainline seasons related to them (Splash Star, Yes 5, and GoGo for Otona whereas Mahoutsukai Precure 2 obviously requires watching Mahoutsukai Precure beforehand). As for Hugtto, the more pre-Hugtto seasons you've watched, the better, though the most important one is Futari wa with the other seasons having more minor references in comparison.

Maybe the current stalemate situation between Meroron and the original trio is weird and I can see why some people don't like it, but I'm having the time of my life with the absurdity of the situation. I'm having way more fun with these summer episodes than usual; that's a sign of a truly great season.
I feel like Wonderful's summer episodes were pretty good individually, but the overarching plot to them were nonexistent since Yuki was already practically part of the team and the only thing keeping the episodes together overarching plotwise was taking care of an egg. It's not like whatever attachment Nico formed with the Cures as an egg amounted to much in the end. Meanwhile, this season is letting Nana try to fix Zakkuri over the summer, and its pretty obvious something has to happen on the Meroron end in August before she and Uta skullbash each other to death, I mean, before the Idols can do the group attack.
