It's funny how Meroron/Uta went from crackship to 100% believable in the span of 2 episodes. Hell, I thought Purirun/Meroron was pretty much doomed, especially since there were 2 VotW that fell out of love with their first love and I thought that was foreshadowing for Meroron, but Meroron managed to get Purirun by going down the harem route of all things.

I wonder who Meroron's Friend referred to in the episode title is. I think it's Uta since they only have 3 episodes to explain pic related in time for the movie, but what does that truly mean?
There's a plot development that comes to mind that could cause such a radical change in character relations, but I'm pretty yuri-addled to even consider the possibility of them being long lost childhood friends. I'm sure I'll be proven wrong in a couple of weeks.

Amusingly, there are only 4 more episodes until the movie airs. Going by the summaries and episode titles, there will be major Meroron character development in episode 29 and 30 whereas 31 establishes the new group dynamic but I still can't imagine how Meroron goes from no fun allowed to pic related at all.

I think you're crazy. It's pretty obvious that Uta, Purirun, and Meroron are the most prominent Cures of the cast with the movie going out of its way to focus on Uta and Meroron specifically.

Yes... somehow. I can't imagine what happens between now and the mid 30's to let Meroron smile at Uta during the movie. I know that's still a whole cour's worth of episodes, but Meroron has stayed just as stubborn as she was in episode 12 even with everything that's already happened.
