Chapter opens up a little back with Otto POV. While he's busy losing he issues one last order to the roaches to scatter in a really obvious way.
Then some stuff before they get to the fight covering that they assume Rem will be able to flashbang Al because Petra knows Al knew Rem from before even meeting her in Vollachia and confirming that this knowledge is one-sided.
Roy can't get any info from Otto because Otto is an ass that doesn't let his allies in on his plans and the last thing he did wasn't a plan per se, but a bet that if he sent a bunch of roaches off to make a ruckus his friends would show up.
Rem teleports in, flashbangs Al. Al gets sent into space. He has to redefine his matrix up there or he could die permanently. Yae reacted fast enough and went up with him, Al kills himself. But because of how they're made, Rem can unmake them just as easily and cause Al and Yae to fall where Al then gets jump kicked by Emilia from behind.

Cut to the other people that have shown up and its Roy, Heinkel and the Dragon fighting a bunch of retards lead by Petra who is doing Subaru's dumb meme pose and declaring all out war.

At first Al is acting normal, and thinks that Rem is Ram, so there is nothing that indicates that Ram should be dead in the knowledge he has
He starts schizoing after two conditions are met:
1. Rem says that she's Rem and not Ram
2. Rem says that her sister is alive too
So it's at the moment he knows that Ram and Rem are alive and well when he goes nuts, and not a second before
It's also interesting that while in the LN at the end he glares at the retreating back of Rem and Subaru, in the WN it first says that he glares at the two, and then specifies that it's particularly SUBARU's retreating back what he's glaring at:
