The whole eclipse demon fight came out of absolutely nowhere and had me confused as hell. Thought it was some pocket dimension the MC accessed accidentally by nature of just being OP and messing up Albuquerque's plans of infiltrating the town. Because since the onset of the full eclipse every other person seems to disappear leaving just the two of them duking it out next to the fountain. After the eclipse passes and he went back to the dorm I got the vibe that either everyone else was gone or MC got time skipped or warped to a phantom reality. That was until his 3 buddies were shown getting bullied. The editing was really confusing for a bit there.

Dude willingly abandoned his slow life. He was under no obligation to "escort quest" that guy over the mountains. Could have just been like: "go that direction, good luck" and kept his slow pace. The guy wouldn't even be able to be mad: literal wyverns and shit guard the mountains - it's suicide for any NPC type to cross that shit.

Well, he WAS a hermit in the middle of some hard mode demon forest. Anime doesn't say how long he was there, but he power leveled enough to curb stomp wyverns and scare the B-rank side character. So even at ultra EXP earning rate of a MC, he's been there a while to go from F to A.

Even as a hermit myself, I found at 3 months of no one around, that shit will seriously start to fuck with you. He's had at least 6 months, probably years. He's definitely attention starved.
