Most people who watch Lain don't understand it, and most people who say it's 3deep5u understand it even less.
It's messy because it's telling a narrative about a divine being of the internet, at a time when the world wide web was in it's infancy.
There are many interpretations you can take away, and most contain differing degrees of truth that even the writers could not comprehend.
As with most complex sci-fi, It's not for everyone. This isn't me looking down on people who didn't enjoy, Aesop's fables are simple stories yet contain deeper truth's within them and have been beloved for millennia.
If you never felt the urge to rewatch Lain after watching it, it's probably not for you. If you did feel the urge, then enjoy coming to your own conclusions.
>>280906002how trannies find Lain to be an icon is such a peculiar irony, especially those who unironically chant "let's all love lain"
>>280910326>"Let's just all kill ourselves because then we can't harm each other anymore," like Lain did (at least in irl, not the wired).you are assuming that Lain ever existed in the real world and isn't a being of the wired
