>>281163639 I'm impressed we're adding another layer of strategy to the matches (first it was simply the table having a gimmick, then it was the table being completely arbitrary, then it was the table AND the paddles being completely arbitrary, now you don't even have to win by actually playing ping pong as long as you can incapacitate your opponent) but I'm wondering if you can take it even further from here. What's the next step up?
>>281163639 I love it too, I expected the MC to strip naked to make his opponent embarrassed but I didnโt see that coming. The manga is very unpredictable, thatโs really cool.
>>281163881 If I'm understanding correctly, the bucket melting meant that the rubber became sticky, which means as he serves the ball it gets dragged along with it, thus giving it an over the top amount of spin, right? Obviously not actually how much spin it would get IRL but physically I can picture how that works
Sciencelet here. I thought rubber was electricity-proof, so how did the bucket melt and the ball store an electric charge even after leaving the water?
this manga is retarded but it's so confident in its retardation it works. unironically my favorite new entry of this year

>>281166312 nothing is fully electricity proof outside of straight up void. there's a reason electricians use special gloves to handle high voltage cables, normal rubber gloves would melt instantly
>>281166312 Electricity can melt rubber depending on the current. The ball shouldn't be able to conduct the electricity from the bath (it's made of plastic though, not rubber) but I'm assuming it's the electrified water it carried with it that shocked her, not the ball itself.

>>281163611 Why does he have abs? Is Ping Pong really that physically demanding as a sport?
>>281166915 https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/the-muscles-of-table-tennis-players.14137/ First result I clicked on from googling it but it looks like they can get pretty muscular
>>281166608 How much electricity does it take to melt rubber? It's ridiculous that Taiga survived unscratched to an electrified tub that melted a rubber bucket like nothing.
>>281166915 Playing ping pong can be a good way to excercise the upper body. Also since Taiga is broke he probably had multiple physically demanding jobs in the past.
>>281167879 well, it melted plastic so taira survived something equivalent to being dumped into boiling oil at the coldest. he should be covered in burns and nearly be dying

All good, but the fact that battles take up two chapters each is a bit annoying.
>>281168099 That's only been this and the last one so far, I dunno if you can really call it a pattern yet. Presumably there'll be ones that take 3 or 4 or more later.
>>281163881 So if someone dies on accident during one of these does Mutsuki cover it up? I don't think anyone will end up growing a reputation for killing since that seems like a easy way to get black listed
>>281163611 If I had a penny for every time I saw a modern WSJ protagonist casually show his fit body while wearing nothing but a towel, I would have two pennies, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
