Most of them even had about 30 seconds of screen time before this.

Balding late millennials over at their general are wanking themselves into a frenzy claiming that "Kyoani found a way" and making shitty OCs just to force their fandom into being more soulful than it actually is but at the end of the day they're watching an overanimated comedy that's just terribly unfunny. Again. I genuinely thought they've learned their lesson after Nichijou but it simply doesn't seem to be the case. It really feels like Kyoani is indeed picking up subpar source material to cut off more money for themselves

It's so bizarre and delusional that I'm not sure if he's trolling or not. The episodes are at least half "jokes" but I guess it's understandable that an autist might not recognize them as such because they're really just very drawn out nonsensical scenarios with very lame and anticlimactic punchlines.

This is the one thing that stood out for me the most. The buildups that usually last over a minute to a punchline that just doesn't hit at all. And it just repeats a couple times per episode. There are other anime that are just casually funny and don't require a lengthy setup for its jokes to be funny. I'd respect the redditors who watch this show so much more if they just straight up admitted it's garbage as a comedy but a unique eye candy and that's what they're watching it for. But they choose to enact rain dances in hoping that this time people who watch anime will appreciate it just like they should've appreciated Nichijou. They're SO desperate to meme it into being a next big thing and it shows

The artstyle from the ground up is built to accommodate the cgi.
That's usually a good thing because anime 2d/3d blending is typically horrendous, but overanimated it is not. Certainly not remotely like Nichijou actually was.

I didn't know anything about this. So I watched the first 5 episodes and I feel like I had a good time passed the first one that was bad imo. But yeah it's just style over substance. It's not very funny and I can't imagine kids laughing to most of these jokes. I too don't understand why they'd invest their time and money on such a shit manga. There's nothing to care about, nothing to remember, no epicness, no lesson, just the satisfaction of watching something pretty and cute I suppose?
