It's a mixed bag. I liked pretty much anything MXTX wrote but sometimes it just doesn't click. I found the idol reality TV novel tedious to read (though maybe that one was translated from korean? I'm not sure). I hate this lazy, laconic, description less, bare minimum way of writing some webnovel share with VNs. So I tried the webtoon adaptation and I actually enjoyed myself reading it.

Wasn't expecting the thread to be alive long enough for the new song to come out. It was good, I had fun watching the video. They did the cock robin dance, there were a couple gags, Fumiya spoke to the audience again. Less than an hour afterwards I feel hollow again, then I look at the artists I follow and remember how much is missing. The characters aren't really interacting, or even being especially themselves like in past tracks, and there's now other cast members who've been completely neglected this whole time. Which Rona is your favourite, homothread? I know USO has the fated pair together forever going for it and the ghostly hands make great art, but I like Yomi and Delta the most after main canon. Inverse is good for jokes and I really like Inverse Draluc, but I'm not into their unwilling SM dynamic, and the canon compliance rule giving Inverse Draluc only one life but the same sudden death level weakness is just nighmareish to me. It's not an AU fit for that level of tragedy, and even USO isn't that tragic since Draluc still "lives" as Rona's heart and companion. Yomi Rona is just a great character type even without considering how the fandom characterises Yomi Draluc (which honestly is too dainty compared to the actual oneshot, but the porn is cute), and Delta Rona has an obsessive dynamic that reminds me of Luo Binghe. The best part of Delta Rona being he's absolutely indestructible but cries about it because he wants to play dead like vampires in the movies. He can pull a great deal of menacing, overpowered stunts to protect the object of his obsession, but he's completely whipped from promises of specialty antivamp bullets and banana cake. Main canon Rona is a gorilla, but Delta is the Captain's begging guard dog.

Even though I like all the official AUs in some way, main canon still wins out overall because he has a little of every one (except Inverse, obviously). He can act cool and skilled, he is a stupid child who's easily flustered, he wouldn't die even if he's killed, and there's a bunch of small things he does to accommodate others without drawing attention to it, the tsundere fuck. For all his bravado and childish retaliation, he's quite considerate, and only shows his worst self with the man he's most comfortable with, who is similarly terrible. What more could a vampire ask for.
