Just watched the episode, this has to be the most unkodomo-esque episode so far, no wonder it reached bump limit.

Im pretty happy how things have played out overall, coming from the manga the changes do add to the flow of things and make the episodes feel like they are more chronologically connected than in the manga.

It's basically a silly show that doesn't take itself too seriously, even when the plot strays a bit into drama. It won't teach you heavy handed lessons about how human nature is bound to betrayal and failure while looking at you from a pedestal, nor tell you that teens are inherently evil and just looking for instant gratification. It won't preach about the wonders of conformity or the gifts of solitude. There are no villains, just some rather desperate or misguided characters that are too quirky to do real harm (and most of the time they don't really mean it). The only real love story in it has barely any weight on the plot, so there won't be scenes where the characters stop doing logical things because "No...I love him/her too much!".

The only thing it really has to tell you (not teach, just tell) is "don't be afraid to like what you like. And remember to praise the Slime in whatever form it takes. Or else it's gonna get real annoying. Still cute, but annoying. Yes, even more than usual."

i stayed because of the quirky characters that don't feel like one trick comedy ponies and have actual personalities, the relationship between Kotaro and Puniru being cute and even if it's not romantic is still sweet af, Puniru is not a perfect innocent little angel and can be pretty self centered but still learns and doesnt act like a complete jerk, Kotaro has reasons to act the way he does but still cares for Puniru, Kotaro is not a push-over and actually grows as a character and even has his Chad moments, the overall theme of the show being more relatable and not over-the-top overly melodramatic shit and whatever melodrama that there is is sweet moments between characters that show that they care for eachother instead of forced romance and the comedy is actually pretty funny.
