Starting off with teleportation that emphasizes humans as meat. then fragility of human life and then civilization as a whole in the face of various horrors, duplication horror and problems of identity. The final alien lecture just spells all of it out so I don't think it can be called unfitting. Even so there's this final bit about souls subverting it. I for one reject the god alien speech and it's conclusions, but see it as a fitting ending to Gantz
