At level 5 [I imagine] what she's in "contact" with expands... so just by virtue of standing in a room, she's "in contact" with everything in that room / building and can lock in the temperature of everything in that room / building. Well the facility has various objects at different temperatures so she can probably pick and choose which one to lock the rest to - either individually or all at once. So if the room or building has a fridge with an ice cube, she can lock anyone or anything to an ice cube's temperature instantly.

Range seems to generally extend with the AIM field, which is somewhat tied to the power but maybe not. Accelerator generally only affects what touches him, really enters a space around his body, but he can also affect the wind when he puts his mind to it.

Level 6 is an artificial Magical God.

Esper powers are based on delusions, and basically just work based on how the wielder thinks they work.
Combining magic and science here, if you were able to somehow make an object unable to cool down, then it would be harmless to touch.
Like if you touch a hot oven, the reason you get burned is because the oven transferred some of its heat into you very quickly. From the oven's perspective, it was a very small amount of heat, but from your perspective, it was more heat than your skin could handle.
But the way her power works, presumably because she's a programmer and not a physicist, a hot object still heats what it touches and a cold object still cools what it touches.
