Yes, because the series isn't about that.
It would be pointless to have a great demonic plot that makes moral sense to make a point about prejudice or whatever, because that's completely irrelevant to what the series is about.
Demons don't need to be anything more than obstacles to showcase character growth and add a little spice, the point of the series is about the little things, several scenes literally spell this out to the audience and yet retards are still discussing demons as if they were of any importance.

Ultimately some people will only think with their dick. Doesn't matter if the 'cute girl' is a genocidal demon who just 5 minutes ago was attempting to wipe out all human life and has admitted to killing thousands of humans, has been seen destroying human settlements and will kill thousands more the moment it has the power to do so, the fact that it currently looks like a cute girl is enough for some people.

It's the same logic some american judges use, "She's an attractive young woman with her whole life ahead of her, she shouldn't go to prison for murdering a man by stabbing him 72 times." or "She's just 20 years old and it was in the heat of passion, she says she regrets setting that man on fire so she's free to go."

Once realistic humanoid androids are a thing, it'll be easy to wipe out enemy armies. Just make them into pretty girls and even if they carry a huge sign marked "I AM A BOMB. I WILL EXPLODE AND KILL YOU", some men will run towards them because they're simply that desperate.

No I think she was just doing the standard shounen antagonist thing of giving the protagonist a chance to make a comeback while making it look like arrogance towards a weaker foe. If we accept the standard definition of demons being no empathy killers she should have finished him without hesitation.
