I went to her concert, sure there were a few hamplanets dressed up as Uta and a few nerds wearing straw hats but only 3 out of 21 songs in the setlist are even one piece stuff in the first place

We all know Two Piece is inevitable. But who do you guys think the author will be?

Oda picks whoever's in charge of one of his side material, he's not as bad as scenario 2 but completely unfit to take up the mantle and has to be handheld by Oda through the series constantly.

I’m honestly sick of this trend in recent years where only canon movies get treated as sacred.
If you ask me, the thrill of watching an anime movie for the first time has always been stronger with filler movies than with canon ones.

Think about it, canon films (whether it’s Infinity Castle, the Reze arc, or whatever) are stories the audience already knows from the manga.
At that point, the only real excitement is checking how the animation and soundtrack bring those scenes to life.

On the other hand, filler movies are completely new stories.
You don’t know what’s waiting for you, and that tension and surprise is where the real hype comes from.
Plus, filler lets us see new sides of our favorite characters, moments you’d never get in canon.
That’s a huge advantage.

Look at Detective Conan.
The series has thrived on exactly this formula, delivering filler movies every year that fans love.
That’s how anime films were meant to be enjoyed. It’s honestly kind of depressing that today’s anime fandom has forgotten that spirit.

I remember those two nobodies appearing in the opening 8 or 7, I don't remember well. Namie Amuro besides performing two openings had a personalized animation with the straw hats and then this dumb movie full of Ado songs. I don't know why Toei thinks that One Piece fans care enough about those people to want to see those cheap crossovers/collaborations.

Toei seems to be under contract with this equally bad record label where they promote their “artists” for money, which explains why One Piece never had any well-known bands/singers performing for the show and why the openings were always below average compared to other big shonen.

It was a terrible movie. Even Stampede, which also felt kind of empty, at least had multiple beloved characters interacting with each other as fanservice. This was just a mediocre OC movie with One Piece characters in the background. They could have made an original movie for Ado and there would be no difference.
